the thing i liked about this snippet was the realisation that i am not in control of - and therefore not responsible for - the world's economic trends.
So what IS an individual, or a family's, role in social justice for the underprivileged?
Megs... good question. I'm wrestling with that myself. A decade ago, as an idealistic young thing I was quite sure of my role but now I really don't know. The more I read and learn, the more confusing and complicated it all gets. But I know there must be something. At the very least I am challenged to live as ethically and carefully as we can, always mindful of the impacts of our lifestyle on others; trying to prevent the bad and encourage the positive impacts we have.
