Megan and I went to see Amazing Grace today, and IMO it was a really great movie. So here's the trailer. And I want to invite you to see the movie this next week. Sam, Becca and I went to the beginning of the commem of the abolition ceremonies at Holy Trinity, Clapham Common (the centre for Wilberforce and the Clapham Sect). A wonderful service, with London Philarmonia playing Beethoven and the premiere of a work called Mighty River by a young female English composer, descendent of slaves. Plus powerful Bible readings and David Isherwood threading it all together in a narrative. Also, of course, directing our thoughts to slavery now. Love, Gretta
Stoked you enjoyed the service! I feel connected in a kewlish way to the movie and the story having been in the building of Holy Trinity, Clapham commons. That was actually a really fun great time with you all over there at the isherwoods house
